How many days are ideal for the Golden Triangle?
5 nights/6 days is a comfortable starting point for Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. 4 nights/5 days works for a faster itinerary. Longer trips allow Fatehpur Sikri, Mathura-Vrindavan or more local experiences without rushing.
Can I do the Golden Triangle in 3 nights?
Yes, but it is fast. A 3N/4D itinerary should prioritise the headline experiences and keep transfers efficient. It is not the best format for deep sightseeing.
Which day should I visit the Taj Mahal?
Any day except Friday for general viewing. The official Taj Mahal website confirms the Friday closure. The itinerary should therefore be checked against the exact travel dates. citeturn0search0
Is Agra worth staying overnight?
For many travellers, yes. An overnight stay allows an early Taj visit and more time for Agra Fort and other heritage sites instead of treating Agra as a transit stop.
Can I add Jaipur to a Delhi–Agra trip?
Yes. That is the classic Golden Triangle. Delhi → Agra → Jaipur is a practical route, with the exact number of nights adjusted to the traveller’s interests.
Can I add Ranthambore?
Yes, usually with at least two additional nights. Wildlife is best treated as a dedicated extension because safari availability and timing need separate planning.
Can I combine Mathura and Vrindavan?
Yes. They work particularly well as a spiritual extension for domestic family and pilgrimage-oriented travellers.
